refined sugars, chronic alcohol use, and physical inactivity —
still need to be addressed directly. Weight loss of 5–10 percent of
body weight remains the most evidence-backed lifestyle intervention for
reducing liver fat, according to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
